Using Vinegar For Cleaning Windows

I was intruiged today when one of our clients rang me up after our cleaners had done an end of tenancy cleaning job for him.

He was stunned at how clean and sparkling the windows in the conservatory were and wanted to know how we'd achieved this result. I told him we simply used newspaper and vinegar. I'm actually amazed at how many people don't know about this simple method and also at people who dismiss it as secondary to 'proper' cleaning chemicals.

Next time you need to clean some windows try it for yourself. Just remember to wear gloves!!

I agree. Newspaper and vinegar always does the trick. It is also important to remove all the dirt during the initial cleaning process for it to come up clear with no streaks.

I'm embarrassed to say I was not aware that the vinegar solution would actually remove hard water spots from windows. This has been very helpful, a great tip thank you.

This is a very effective window cleaning method. It even works to remove hard water spots from sprinkler systems. Shining with newspaper actually keeps the window clean longer. These are techniques that we have been using for years.

This is interesting. I didn't know that vinegar is a solution for cleaning windows. But I would always use detergents or soaps or other cleaning products to clean windows. Others even hire office cleaning sydney. Oh well Practicality is the best. :)

Using vinegar does the job, but you have the negative effect of the smell even after you're done cleaning.

Vinegar for me also is the best solution to clean windows. Because it is effective and clean. But it stinks.

Vinegar does wonders. Green cleaning is now in fashion, it is cheap and non-toxic. Carpet cleaning is also possible with natural products.
