A quick message to carpet cleaners out there who insist on quoting their customers for the 'basic carpet cleaning service'; Basic does not mean you miss out pre-vacuuming prior to extraction, nor does it mean you forget to pre-spray! I would call this the 'crap carpet cleaning service'.
Ofcourse all reputable carpet cleaning companies who are IICRC trained know better
Correct carpet cleaning methods are alot more involved than just setting a machine up and moving a wand!

However as we all know there are IICRC certified firms out there that do not follow standards. The consumer should do more research than just loog for the IICRC logo.
I'm liking your post and the site!
getting rid of dirty carpet can be very hard

Well I personall used this Cleaning Service in London for my apartment and I am realatively satisfied, compared to other companies I've used.
Not doing a pre-spray? I've had services coming to our office for years that don't use pre-spray. Ok, I'm a little ticked now. I pay top dollar for their services. I should just buy my own industrial supplies and do it myself! Expect I don't really know how.
The reminder in this blog is useful for me, as the manager of carpet cleaning Santa Monica CA we will glad in reading this and the further quick guides here.
